| Leonor McCall-Rodriguez
Leonor McCall-Rodriguez is the Vice President of Emerging Markets
West Region for Blue Cross of California. In this position, she
is responsible for leading efforts internally and externally to
develop education and marketing strategies focusing on penetrating
ethnic and emerging uninsured markets.
Her unique background and experience with ethnic markets enhances
the Blue Cross of California commitment to reaching the diverse
landscape of the communities it serves.
Leonor lends broad expertise in the area of bicultural-bilingual
outreach through her extensive marketing, advertising and communications
experience. Prior to joining Blue Cross, McCall-Rodriguez was president
of Mira Promo, where she offered consulting for corporations seeking
to expand business in Spanish and Hispanic markets. She is also
the founder of the Latino Speakers Bureau, which promotes successful
Latino role models. Previously, she has worked for TV Promo International,
Walker Advertising, La Opinion, PepsiCo, Frito Lay, Gillette, Allied
Domecq, among others.
She has many certifications in her field and is an accomplished
speaker, author and entrepreneur. She holds an MBA in Marketing
Management from Universidad de Las Americas in Mexico City and a
degree in Economics from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico.
She also sits on the Board of organizations that support empowerment
of minority and women owned small businesses such as the National
Latina Business Women Association -NLBWA, the Latin Business Association
-LBA and Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) for
the Western U.S.
