- Camilo Cruz
As he writes in his book, In Search of the American Dream - A
Guide to Succeeding in the United States, Dr. Cruz arrived in
the United States in 1980, with no knowledge of the language,
and with no more credentials than a high school diploma, a few
hundred dollars and a bag full of dreams.
- Dr. Cruz now possesses a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from
Seton Hall University. He has been a professor of Quantum Physics,
Thermodynamics and Mathematics at several colleges in the United
States, where he has also represented the interests of Hispanic
faculty and students alike.
- As an entrepreneur, Dr. Cruz has launched three successful companies
and has served on the boards of several others. He co-founded
Yupi Internet (now latino.msn.com), one of the most frequently
visited Spanish-language portals in the world. He is also the
founder and president of the Latino Institute fro Development,
Education and Responsibility.

sales approaching one million copies. His book “La Vaca”
received the Latino Book Award as the best self-help book in Spanish
